Bicycle Basecamp Dot Com: The Countdown Begins!

The Countdown Begins. Today signals the launch of our countdown page, officially counting the days, hours, minutes and seconds to the launch of BicycleBasecamp.com. Over the past several months we've been developing our online bicycle marketplace and community website. With the cycling community growing to unprecedented levels, we feel it’s time there was a community driven online environment where cyclists can buy and sell bikes with other cyclists safely, securely and without the cost and hassle associated with other online and retail outlet.

Beyond the online bicycle marketplace, we want to create a social hub for cyclists, somewhere individuals and businesses alike can share information and learn more about what's going on within their local cycling community.

It is an ambitious goal, one which has taken many months to develop, gaining advice and support from cyclists, bicycle stores, cycling organisations and law enforcement agencies  along the way. This support is central to all of Bicycle Basecamp's endeavours, so whether its organising cycling events in aid of charitable causes, like Travelling Young <http://travellingyoung.co.uk> , bicycle collaborations with stores like The Bicycle Man <http://www.thebicycleman.co.uk/product/Bicycle_Basecamp_%E2%80%9CSpeedster%E2%80%9D_FFBB>  or raising money and awareness for our charity partner, Re-Cycle, we aim to be an active member within the UK cycling scene.

Our countdown page @ BicycleBasecamp.com <
http://BicycleBasecamp.comrepresents a small sample of some of the people, brands, events and organisations which collectively contribute towards making the UK cycling community great. If you have any suggestions or which to contribute towards the cycling community inspired slideshow, please let us know.
