The UK is only late to the party the USA & canada joined two years ago but finally Google Maps will begin showing more than 13,000 miles of British cycle lanes.
I look upon this as a minor victory for cyclists across her Majesties land, however its funny how this announcement has been made on the eve of the games, a time when drivers and rail users alike are being advised to seek alternative modes of transport.
Check out the full story on the Times and we'll be celebrating with you all at 5pm today when the cycling lanes go live.
