Rapha Cycle Club London Launch

Photography by James Purssell

Rapha have descended on London and boy do they know how to make an entrance!

The curious thing about many bicycle stores is their lack character, whilst displaying aesthetically beautiful products, they tend to often lack the imagination to showcase them in their full glory. Cyclists tend to have such low demands and often we are content with ordinary and run of the mill. We settle for the Cycle Surgery's and Evans Cycle's of the World because they're convenient, which is fine for some but there are many who are searching for something else - the cyclist who doesn't want to be bored with the familiar, the cyclist that wants to be dazzled.

In recent years we've witnessed a distinct change in London's cycling scene, stores and cycling cafe's presenting us with more than just products and services but destinations in themselves, enchanting places which cyclists yearn to visit. Rapha Cycle Club London delivers such a place, a destination which captures the your imagination and takes you on a journey.

The Rapha Cycle Club London builds on the success of their annual pop-up shop, offering London cyclists not only a store filled with some of the best cycling performance gear on the market, it also has a cafe kitted out with the best coffee in town, a gallery filled with cycling memorabilia and a meeting spot for road-racing enthusiasts. If you're a road cyclist this place is literally bicycle porn x 100 with a delightful bunch of staff aiding you throughout the way.

Head over to Rapha for more info about their new store and schedule for rides and race screenings. I've personally been promised by the 'powers that be' at Rapha HQ that they aim to deliver the ultimate community hub for the road-racing cycling community - based on Friday nights festivities there's no doubt in my mind they will.
